A New Chapter: A Message to the Class of 2025

Every year marks the closing of one chapter and the beginning of another—a transition filled with both reflection and anticipation.

To my son, Gabriel, and all the fellow graduates stepping into a new season of life in 2025, I encourage you to be mindful of the choices you make. Seek discernment not through the desires of the flesh but through the leading of the Spirit.

Do not let your mistakes define you; instead, allow them to transform you into something greater, shaping you for good. As you pursue the journey entrusted to you by God, seek His guidance. Ask Him to reveal His path rather than following the empty roads the world lays before you.

“Your future is not a blank page, nor is it a script with no room for your choices. It is an unfolding journey that God has written in love, yet calls you to walk in faith. Seek His wisdom, and your steps will fulfill what was always meant to be.”

So as you venture out into the world, keep these questions and comparisons at heart so that, with discernment, you may recognize whether you are following the world or being led by God:

Final Encouragement

To Gabriel and the Graduating Class of 2025,

Know that I am proud of you, whether or not anyone has told you. Your mistakes do not measure your worth, and I do not hold you to them—so do not let others, or even yourself, define you by them.

Continue to follow God, and you will never go wrong. Be mindful of your surroundings; if those around you are not pushing you toward goodness, it may be time to let them go. The people who walk closely with you, uplifting you in faith and purpose, will stick by you like a brother. Do not be easily distracted. Be alert because the devil prowls like a roaring lion seeking to devour you.

Prayer for the Class of 2025

Father in Heaven,

Thank You for hearing my prayer. Today, I lift up these young people before You—their journey, their future, and their faith. Before they were entrusted to us, they were Yours, and they remain Your precious gifts.

I ask that You watch over them as they step into a new season of life. Strengthen them, Lord, and guard their hearts, for the enemy relentlessly pursues them—attempting to sever their relationship with You and lead them astray. Yet, I know Your power surpasses all, for You alone spoke the universe into existence.

Surround them with Your love. Grant them discernment to see the world’s deceit and recognize the underlying manipulation of the enemy. Open their eyes to truth so they may walk in wisdom, choosing Your path over the empty promises of the world.

When they stumble, remind them of Your grace. May they seek You in repentance and hold fast to the knowledge that You have a plan for them—one written in love and purpose.

I ask all these things in Jesus’ name.

Amen.

Always, I invite you to ponder good thoughts.
